Ten years ago my marriage of 23 years ended. Abruptly. One day I had a husband, the next I didn’t. WHERE WAS SASSY PINK PEPPERS WHEN I NEEDED THEM? Why didn’t I think of starting a group like SPP?
I came across this fabulous social and civic group a few months ago after reading about the local SASSY PINK PEPPER chapter in my city. I was immediately drawn in and wanted to see if there was a place for me, an “ex” divorcee, to support this genius idea.
So, here I am, ready, willing, devoted, and championing the Sassy Pink Pepper’s as a safe, confident, fun, and welcoming entrée into getting out, moving on, dancing, laughing, and preparing for the next great adventure in life…mine and yours!!
On a day where I was feeling a bit daunted, I found this site and it's great music. In the first few minutes I was smiling. Kudos to you for creating this.
I find that while I am happy at having a second chance at the life I want I still find time when loneliness overwhelms that happiness. I was glad to see something supporting us intelligent, strong and incredibly wise women.
I often tell others that women who are divorced are the "new time pariah". We're accepted at most events that entail our children but the dinner party invitations have subsequently dried up. I don't fault my married friends…
But I just wanted to say thank you for making this site. I will be passing it on to all my divorced friends!
You go girl!

My friend Cindy and I were at an establishment named Balibans in the Central West End of St. Louis one evening, and the founder of the group, Terri, approached us and asked if we were "divorced or separated" women. Of course, we said YES!...and that got us started on our way to joining this really really fun group of women! I am a member of this group and if you visit the website, you can see that they are going strong and women from all around the country are joining like crazy! It's a really good idea...if you (or your divorced or separated friends) would be interested in having a group of women to get out on the town with, instead of having to either go alone or wait for one of your other friends to want to get out with you, join!

What great initiative! I hope to feature it as an inspirational example of moving on after divorce..
in the Spring Issue of Santé Magazine. I can't find any European initiatives like yours!

I am not a divorced woman, but am a divorce attorney who recognizes the value of a group such
as yours for those who have gone through the difficult process...I think the group is a great idea...wish you all the best!

I think Sassy Pink Peppers is a wonderful idea! I've been traveling and going to places on my own for about five years now, but I'm always running into single/divorced women that say they could never do that. And that their married friends make them feel excluded at times.
With our society geared so much toward not seeing women out alone, many ladies just can't get past the stigma. I've long wanted to find a way to do something - glad you did.
I've ordered a ballcap, and can't wait for it to arrive. I'm looking into getting calling cards, and getting my Chapter up and going.

Congratulations, Ladies! What a great idea. I have been a financial advisor to women for
almost 20 years and you can see by my credentials, I take it very seriously. I plan on passing this website on to many of my divorced ladies.
